Petya Deneva

She was born in 1981 in Balchik.
She graduated from the National School of Arts “Dobri Hristov” in Varna, and later – the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, majoring in painting with a master’s degree.
Petya Deneva’s painting is poetic, delicate, bright and ethereal.
“The coast and the sea talk to each other constantly. I have been listening since I was little, but the only thing I understand sometimes is how the coast is angry with the sea for stealing its rain. The other is a beautiful sound. I am sure that the fishermen can speak their language and once upon a time they made an agreement with them to be mediators in their negotiations.”
I walk near the sea with similar thoughts in mind and draw stories in my imagination – the boats, the fisherman and the rocks, the sun and the reflections in the waves. With my feet buried in the dirt and sand, I spell out the alphabet of the language. Close to the sea and with hope, I shoot my gaze far away towards the horizon of the water. When will I be able to draw you and tell you wave by wave, with all your mystery and depth!?
But nothing, for now I will look from here – through the roofs, through the trees, through the shadows of the vine leaves and the white of the shores. shares the artist Petya Deneva.
